Horses for Lease
Leasing a horse can be a great way to learn about horses, experience riding many different horses (which is invaluable!) and be able to advance through different skill level horses without the hassle of buying and selling over and over. When someone wants to lease from us, we do our best to match the right horse to the right rider. We take the quality of our horses very seriously and a bad rider can really mess up a horse. Therefore, we require that anyone leasing a horse has to take at least 2 lessons per month from Grant. This ensures the rider is developing their skills and handling the horse correctly, which in the end protects the horse, future lessees and you!
We are very proud of our current leased horses and their amazing riders! We currently have 2 horses leased to Pikes Peak Rangerettes and you can see them each July performing at the Pikes Peak Or Bust Rodeo!
Our standard lease price is $400/month. The horse will stay living here and we will handle all feeding, pay for all feed, vet bills, farrier etc. You can ride the horse anytime you like, including using our 350'x175' outdoor arena as well as trail rides on miles and miles of dirt roads around our house. We retain the right to ride and use the horse when you're not. We use a google calendar or just texting to coordinate but you always have first priority.
Give us a call today to discuss your unique situation and see if we have a horse that would be the perfect fit for you!
Sorry, we don't rent pigs.

"We have been leasing Captain for several months and the whole process has been great! The leasing paperwork was easy to read and sign. We are able to pay on Venmo which is quick and painless. Grant has been very flexible with the times that my daughter is able to ride. This is important for us because it allows her to balance riding with work and school. Captain is well trained and I don't worry about my daughter's safety while she is riding. I appreciate that she is able to use her own tack, which fits Captain well, so that she is comfortable when she rides. Grant takes care of all the maintenance for the horse including feed, supplements if needed, teeth, vet check and boarding. This is very helpful for someone who does not own land to house a horse and the payment per month is cheaper than owning/boarding your own horse. I would highly recommend DVH for leasing a well-trained horse than can go in any direction the rider wants to go!"
